To every democratic senator who betrayed their constituency:

 How is it that I, a 56 year old, uneducated woman and pretty ignorant about politics, and with no security clearance either, was so informed about whether or not Saddam had weapons of mass destruction (I decided early on he didn’t, based on information from the CIA and Blix and the gang), and you, all you democrats, who are supposed to represent We the People, were so uninformed?  Did you all think that Hans Blix was a liar?  That he didn’t know his job?  Was Bush able to convince you of that so easily?

 Admittedly, I have some time on my hands to sit around and cruise the net and you all are probably pretty darned busy.  However, did no one ever inform you of the web site:  http://www.newamericancentury.org/?  I saw this site months before we invaded Iraq, and saw the warnings all over the internet that Bush was going to start a unilateral war over what?  Saddam tried to kill his daddy?  The Iraqis were sitting on OUR oil?  That Saddam had ties to the terrorists that wiped out the WTC?  Empire building using the Rove/Cheney/Kristol method?  I forced myself to watch “Shock and Awe” on CNN the night it happened, then went into the bathroom and threw my guts up.  

And when y’all voted to give Bush the power to declare unilateral war (illegal by our Constitution: The United States Congress never voted for the Iraq war. Rather, Congress voted for a resolution in October 2002, which unlawfully transferred to the Bush the decision-making power of whether to launch a first-strike invasion of Iraq. The United States Constitution vests the awesome power of deciding whether to send the nation into war solely in the United States Congress), did you ever consider how we would extricate ourselves from Iraq?  Did you actually believe that the Iraqis would welcome us with open arms and flowers after we bombed their major city?  Did Bush tell you of his plans to keep troops in Iraq for 10 or more years because we wouldn’t be able to get out?  How in hell do you expect the next president, whether Bush or Anybody but Bush, to end this quagmire?

 And now, y’all are sitting on your collective butts while Bush tries to blame everyone else for his lies.  I read weeks (that should be WEEKS) before we attacked Iraq, that the CIA stated Saddam did NOT have any significant weapons systems.  They were then coerced into providing this Administration with what Bush wanted to hear, not with what was the truth.  Too many people are rolling over for Bush and that includes democrats who are supposed to be representing us.

 Is there one person besides Senator Byrd and Senator Kennedy with balls enough to stand up and say:  Hey, Bush, you lied to us?  If you all are afraid of losing your jobs, then you are NOT representing We the People.  You are only representing your little corner of power and special interests and We the People don’t need you.
